What is the EFT method?

The Emotional Freedom Technique is a method that combines self-acupressure and conscious verbalisation to release and evacuate the negative emotions that preoccupy and block us.
EFT is a non-invasive technique, which means that no needles are used, but rather tapping on points along the “energy pathways” (the meridians) used in acupuncture, an ancient, traditional and natural Chinese method.

A method that's easy to learn

EFT is a fast, effective and easy-to-learn method that gives long-lasting, even permanent results and often brings relief where other therapies have failed. The advantage is that it can be self-administered, with or without a practitioner.

It soothes in a matter of minutes and, if used regularly, brings a welcome peace of mind. For serious problems, it is advisable to be accompanied by an experienced practitioner. But in just 2 or 3 sessions you can practise independently and effectively.

One of the most widely used techniques

EFT has become one of the most widespread techniques in the new field of “energy psychology”.

The body is an electrical/energetic system, including the electromagnetic charge present in each of our organs, each of our cells and our nervous system. It also includes the subtle energies discovered by the Chinese 4,000 years ago, the network of meridians, which are a kind of ‘subtle’ channels.

How EFT works ?

It involves gently tapping or rubbing certain specific points located on our meridians.

By tapping in this way while talking about the benefits of separating or evacuating what is bothering us. The “disturbed” meridians are energetically balanced.

You retain the memory of the event that disturbed you, but no longer feel the emotional charge that accompanied it. To get rid of anxieties, fears and phobias, for example.

Children love EFT, which helps them to deal with many little everyday problems: fears or phobias (of the dark, of spiders, of school, etc.), tantrums, teasing, separation anxiety, bed-wetting, etc.

In the United States, EFT is the subject of in-depth studies, in particular to treat veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)1.
