What happens in a session of Reiki?

Due to Pandemic I can now practice from distance, so you stay in your home, and I work from my home, and results are amazing !

This will be a time for you.

You will be invited to lay on a table for a maximum relaxation. During an hour, I will hold my hands over or on  different parts of your body along your front and back areas for a few minutes each to allow your energy balancing within your body. This will help you release tensions, or stress, remove pain from certain areas if you have, and feel a deep relaxation.

Recommendation for the best benefits of a session.

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes in advance, this will allow you to feel more relaxed and receptive.
  • turn off your mobile phone.
  • Wear comfortable clothing.
  • Have a good hydration.
  • Allow this moment to be exclusively yours.

The Reiki session begins with an intake interview to learn about your “history”, needs and expectations. This is the time to tell me if you are experiencing any specific pain or sensitive areas.

Then you are invited to sit comfortably or lying down on a massage table while staying dressed. For your comfort, I recommend you remove belt, shoes, watch and other accessories.

The practice of Reiki is to apply hands to different parts of your body starting with your head and going down to your feet. For certain parts of the body and in the respect of the person it is possible to keep the hands at a distance of 7 to 8 centimeters above the body.

The time for the hands to be applied may vary between one hour and one hour and a half, comprising about twenty positions of about 3 minutes each, sometimes more if you tell me that you feel the need or in case I will feel a specific need for one of these areas.

You may feel a state of real relaxation and wish to let you go to sleep. You may also feel tingling, or intense heat or other sensations which are normal according to the energy circulation. Please communicate these feelings if you want to prolong or if this generates discomfort.

At the end of the session, you may need to ask questions, talk or ask for a little rest before you get up. I will be able to explain to you the possible effects of the energy: detoxification, emotional releases, etc …

In case of serious pains or of health problems, I will recommend you to take a medical opinion if this has not been done beforehand.

To enjoy the best and long lasting benefits of Reiki, it is best to do 3 or 4 consecutive sessions.

Is there any adverse effects practicing Reiki?

Because there is nothing about a Reiki session that can interfere with conventional medical care, Reiki has no known contraindications and can be used concurrently with any medical intervention.

Can I get Reiki support if I am under medication ?

The touch of Reiki is very light on or even off the body. The recipient is not required to ingest any substances, so there are no concerns about mixing substances (such as herbs) and medications prescriptions.

Is Reiki recommended after a surgery?

Reiki will not override the action of medical interventions, but rather supports the patient while he or she goes through them, restoring balance in body, mind, and spirit to the degree possible. Patients who feel well even when fighting chronic illness are more likely to complete their medical treatment and be active partners in their health care, that’s why Reiki is recommendent as a support for any treatment.

Can Reiki intensify symptoms?

Occasionally people experience a temporary aggravation or intensification of symptoms during or after a Reiki session. This may be as simple as a momentary feeling of discomfort at the site of an old injury or surgical scar. Such an experience resolves quickly and may be part of the body’s process of healing.

Is there a risk of receiving too much energy?

Because the activation of Reiki pulsations in the practitioner’s hands adjusts to the changing need of the recipient, and stops when appropriate, you can’t get too much Reiki, no matter how long the practitioner’s hands are in place.
